The Goodwyn Middle School Library Media Center is an integral part of the school. The mission of the Library Media Center is to serve as a resource center for students, faculty, administration, support staff, and the entire school community. The main focus of the library media center is to provide informational resources and services that will impact overall student achievement.
Library Hours
7:45 a.m.-2:45 p.m. (Monday-Friday)
Check Out Policies and Procedures:
Students may check out two books for a two week period. Books must be renewed or checked in by the due date. Students who fail to return books on time will receive an overdue notice via homeroom teacher. A fine of five cents per school day will be assessed for overdue books. Students who lose or damage books will be charged the replacement cost of the book.
The media center operates on a flexible schedule. Students may enter throughout the day with a signed pass from a classroom teacher. Computers are also available for research classroom assignments.

AVL provides all students, teachers, and citizens of the State of Alabama with online access to essential library and information resources.
